2025 CRISI Rural Rail Rehabilitation CW Branch – PCC

Project overview

This project improves railroad crossings and mainline track work along the CW Branch of the PCC Railroad System in Lincoln and Spokane Counties. Railroad crossings included in this project include SR 904 in Cheney, SR 902 in Medical Lake, US-2 west of Airway Heights, SR 231 in Reardan, and SR 25 in Davenport.

What to expect

This project will remove and replace sidewalk, curb and gutter, grade crossings, turnouts, rail, ties, cleanup and disposal of legacy material and roadway excavation, paving, pavement markings, culverts, ballast distribution, replacing rail with Other Track Material, rail joints, surface line and dress, undercutting, ditching, signal modifications and erosion control. 

Work will take place at the various grade crossings, including SR 904 in Cheney, SR 902 in Medical Lake, US-2 west of Airway Heights, SR 231 in Reardan, and SR 25 in Davenport. Detours will be in place for work at these crossings.
