I-90 Vantage Bridge – Replace Bridge Deck and Special Repairs

Project overview

This project replaces the existing bridge deck on the I-90 Vantage Bridge to maintain the structural integrity, ensure the safety of the highway and extend the life of the bridge. The Vantage Bridge was built in 1962 and the last time the bridge received a major overhaul was in 1982.

What to expect

Travelers will experience long delays eastbound on Thursdays and Fridays and westbound on Sundays and are encouraged to choose alternate routes.

All four lanes of the Vantage Bridge will be open during busy summer holidays:

• Memorial Day
• Fourth of July
• Labor Day

Outside of these summer holidays, the bridge will be reduced to a single lane in each direction seven days a week until the project wraps up for the season on Nov. 1, 2025.
