Project overview
As part of WSDOT's efforts to remove barriers to fish, this project addresses barriers to fish under SR 302.
What to expect
A temporary one-lane bypass road and traffic signals alternate directions of traffic around the clock.
The temporary changes allow crews to excavate the roadway, build a new bridge and remove existing culverts.
The two blocking culverts will be replaced with a new 42-foot-long bridge over Victor Creek. Workers will also make improvements to the creek to help simulate a more natural environment.
The new bridge and stream enhancements will make it easier for fish to pass through the creek. Both will slow the water and create a more natural environment.
